27yr-old Nigerian arrested for stabbing Nigerian co-tenant with broken bottle in Ghana

A 27-year-old Nigerian man, Winner Terry, was arrested by the Buduburam District Police Command in Ghana’s Central Region for allegedly stabbing his Nigerian co-tenant multiple times with a broken bottle during an argument.

The incident occurred at Estate Junction in Gomoa Buduburam.

Reports indicate that the victim, identified as Nann, and the suspect engaged in a heated argument over royalties paid to songwriters.

Despite the argument, they later resumed normal conversation in Terry’s room, unaware of his intentions.

Terry then allegedly attacked Nann, slashing him in the neck, shoulder, and leg, rendering him unconscious.

Concerned neighbors rushed Nann to the ST Gregory Catholic Hospital in Buduburam, where he is currently undergoing treatment.

Terry attempted to flee the scene but was apprehended by the police. He was subsequently arraigned before the Ofaakor Circuit Court on Friday, June 21, 2024, and remanded into police custody for two weeks.

He is set to appear in court again on July 1, 2024.

Nana Amoasi, the landlord, expressed shock over the incident, describing Terry’s actions as deliberate given the severity of Nann’s injuries.
