X User raises alarm over rising deaths among Nigerians in the UK

A prominent user of X (formerly Twitter), identified as Oluomo of Derby, has expressed concern over the increasing number of deaths among Nigerians in the United Kingdom.

Allnaijadiaspora reported on several deaths within the Nigerian community in the UK, as announced by a popular  X page, Nigerians in the United Kingdom (NIUK).

Among the individuals mourned was Patrick Ubong, a Nigerian who tragically passed away following a severe car crash.

Allnaijadiaspora reported that Ubong’s death occurred on October 17th, 2024, after the crash, which was reported by Oluomo of Derby on X.

Oluomo who shared the heartbreaking news, wrote, “We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Patrick Ubong, who tragically left us on October 17th, 2024, following a devastating car accident last month. 💔 His family is now facing this unbearable loss, and they need our support. Please consider donating to help Pat’s wife, Lily, through this difficult time. Every contribution makes a difference.”

Disturbed by the rising fatalities, Oluomo also voiced his concerns on X, stating, “Heartbroken by the increasing number of deaths among Nigerians in the UK. We need to come together, raise awareness, and support each other to address the challenges facing our community. Let’s look out for one another and push for better resources and support systems.”
