Amid growing uncertainty about his future, Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen is expected to announce his next club before the end of April.
The Napoli forward, currently on loan at Turkish side Galatasaray, is widely anticipated to make a high-profile move this summer.
English Premier League teams including Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal, and Newcastle have shown interest in the 26-year-old, who has previously spoken about his ambition to play in England’s top division.
Italian giants Juventus are also reportedly monitoring his situation.
Osimhen has been in outstanding form in Turkey, netting 28 goals in 32 appearances for Galatasaray.
His impressive performances have played a major role in the club’s push for the Super Lig title and have significantly boosted his market value.
However, Galatasaray’s chances of retaining him remain slim, as their loan deal with Napoli does not include a purchase clause.
Napoli is believed to be seeking a transfer fee of around £55.5 million.
Once a key figure in Napoli’s 2023 Serie A title-winning campaign, Osimhen’s relationship with the club has reportedly soured in recent months.
As a result, Napoli is looking to cash in on the forward during the upcoming transfer window.
Galatasaray, despite their admiration for Osimhen, may find it difficult to compete financially with other suitors. The club’s vice president, Abdullah Kavukcu, confirmed that the striker will make a decision soon.
“Victor will decide in April. There are five top clubs chasing him,” Kavukcu said, according to reports. “His arrival was a dream come true for us. While there was transfer talk in January, he stayed with us and remains fully committed.
He loves Galatasaray, and while we haven’t held formal talks with him yet, keeping him isn’t entirely out of the question.”
Osimhen’s wage expectations could also be a major factor in determining his next move. Sources suggest he is asking for a salary around £9 million annually—an amount that may present a challenge even for some of Europe’s top clubs.
