Students protest in abroad, demand reversal of Tinubu’s anti-poor policies, release of protesters

A group of Nigerian and foreign students held a protest outside the Nigerian High Commission in London on Saturday, urging President Bola Tinubu to reverse his “anti-poor policies” and dismiss charges against individuals arrested during the #EndBadGovernance protests.

The demonstration, organized by the socialist student group ‘Fight for Socialism,’ saw both Black and White protesters carrying placards with messages such as “Drop all charges and release protesters” and “Reverse all anti-poor policies.”

The protestors’ main demands included the release of detained protesters and the reversal of policies they claim negatively affect Nigeria’s poorest citizens. The protest was staged at WC2N 5BX, London.
