Nigerian-American Dr. Abegunde honored with North America/Diaspora Service Award

Nigerian-American Dr. Kayode Abegunde has been recognized for his impactful contributions to politics and community development, receiving the North America Diaspora Political and Community Service Award from the NICCEA Awards.

The award was presented to Abegunde, a U.S.-based politician, at the Nigerian Canadian Celebrities Entertainment Awards held last weekend at the Royal King Event Centre in Ontario, Canada. Organized by Starboard Entertainment under the leadership of Nollywood actor Temidayo Enitan, popularly known as Starboy, this seventh annual event brought together a star-studded lineup from the Nigerian entertainment industry, both from within Nigeria and the diaspora.

Expressing gratitude for the recognition, Abegunde, an accountant, member of the Newcastle County Financial Advisory Board, consultant, and global philanthropist, described the award as motivation to continue championing quality politics, supporting the entertainment industry, and expanding his community service efforts.

“I am truly honored by this prestigious award,” Abegunde said. “It inspires me to further contribute to political development across Nigeria and North America, to amplify the Nigerian entertainment sector, and to drive meaningful growth in our communities.”

Abegunde also praised the award’s organizer, Temidayo Enitan, for his dedication to elevating Nigerian entertainment on the global stage and encouraged him to continue pushing boundaries in the industry.

Let me know if any adjustments are needed!
