My goal is to use my experience for humanity’s development – US-based Nwizugbe-Ezenwa

Uchenna Nwizugbe-Ezenwa, a Nigerian professional based in the United States, has reaffirmed his commitment to contributing to the advancement of humanity by leveraging his wealth of experience.

Speaking with journalists in Benin, Nwizugbe-Ezenwa emphasized that his extensive academic and professional background has shaped his dedication to making a positive impact, particularly in supporting women, children, and the less privileged.

Having been born in Africa, educated in Europe, and now residing in the U.S., he described himself as a bridge between cultures.

This unique background, he noted, has given him the ability to connect with people from different social, economic, and cultural backgrounds. With a solid foundation in psychology and hospitality, he has honed his interpersonal skills, allowing him to engage meaningfully with diverse communities.

In his role as a Program Officer at the Brooklyn Hospital Center for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC), Nwizugbe-Ezenwa has played a crucial role in providing psychosocial support, nutrition education, and essential supplies to vulnerable groups.

His efforts, he stated, have significantly contributed to improving health outcomes, fostering healthier lifestyles, and ensuring the well-being of women and children in the community.

Beyond his work in the U.S., he has also been actively involved in humanitarian efforts on the global stage.

Between 2019 and 2020, he served as an international community volunteer in Brussels, focusing on disaster mitigation and relief.

His dedication ensured that aid reached vulnerable populations in hard-to-reach communities.

Recognizing his outstanding contributions, he has received several prestigious awards, including the Communications and Media Specialist award from the Center for Community Impact and Sustainability (September 2024), the Achiever Award of Recognition from the Eastern Mediterranean University Nigerian Student Society (December 2019), and the Star Performance Award for tracking lost or stolen supplies at Brooklyn Hospital Center’s WIC program.

Additionally, he has served as Team Lead Student Delegate for the West Africa Youth Summit (May 2021) and held leadership roles such as Sports Director for the Nigerian Student Society at Eastern Mediterranean University (March 2018).

Nwizugbe-Ezenwa reaffirmed his passion for youth empowerment and humanitarian service, stressing that he remains committed to initiatives that promote better opportunities for women, children, and the less privileged.
