Independence anniversary: Abike Dabiri-Erewa to attend annual NCAC gala Night in Canada

Hon. Dr. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, OON, Chairman/CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), was warmly welcomed at a reception hosted by Prof. Ako Ufodike, Deputy Minister for Immigration in Alberta, and his wife, Chioma.

The event drew a large crowd of Nigerian professionals residing in Calgary, marking a significant gathering ahead of the annual Nigerian Community in Calgary (NCAC) Gala Night.

Among the notable attendees was Mr. Kaycee Madu, who made history as the first Black person elected as Provincial Minister of Justice in Canada. The reception also featured a surprise appearance by renowned Nigerian artist Tuface Idibia, adding to the excitement of the evening.

The gathering served as a prelude to the upcoming NCAC gala, scheduled for the first Saturday of October, which celebrates Nigeria’s Independence Day.
