The family of Ross Ogbeinde, a Nigerian international student at the University of South Wales, is appealing for financial support to cover his burial expenses after his sudden passing on December 29, 2024.
Ogbeinde, originally from Benin City in Edo State, reportedly collapsed and lost consciousness before passing away, leaving behind his wife and three children in Pontypridd, South Wales.
According to a statement from his wife, Benedicta, posted on the GoFundMe platform, Ogbeinde was set to graduate in January 2025. Tragically, he passed away unexpectedly before medical assistance could arrive.
The family is seeking donations to help cover the burial costs and provide for the immediate needs of the young widow and her children.
As of Sunday, £225 had been raised through eight donations, representing just one percent of the £20,000 goal set for the campaign.
The family’s GoFundMe campaign highlighted the urgent need for assistance during the difficult time, with Benedicta expressing gratitude for any support offered.
