Chinua Achebe’s daughter bags Harvard Medical School award

Maureen Achebe, daughter of the late renowned novelist Chinua Achebe, has been honored with the Brigham and Women’s Hospital 2024 Faculty Development and Diversity Award.

Chidi Achebe, her brother and chairman of African Integrated Development Enterprise Public Benefit Corporation (AIDE PBC), shared that Maureen received notification of her award in a letter dated July 2.

The hospital, affiliated with Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts, informed Maureen of this prestigious recognition.

Brigham and Women’s Hospital is known as a world-class academic medical center and a premier teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School.
