US-based Nigerian activist exposes Natasha alleged plot to frame Akpabio

A Nigerian activist based in the United States, Dr. Sandra Duru, has made startling allegations against the suspended Senator representing Kogi Central, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.

During a Facebook live session on Thursday night, Duru claimed that the embattled lawmaker once offered her a sum of N200 million to falsely accuse Senate President Godswill Akpabio of organ harvesting after her earlier allegations of sexual harassment failed to gain traction.

Duru, widely known as Prof. Mgbeke, dismissed Natasha’s claim that they had never communicated, providing evidence of call logs and WhatsApp messages to support her statements.

She described Natasha as a serial liar and alleged that the Senator had confessed to deliberately targeting Akpabio as part of a broader agenda to undermine the current administration.

According to Duru, Natasha allegedly said attacking the government was a fast track to popularity in Nigeria, taking advantage of what she called a gullible and impoverished population.

Duru also stated that Natasha revealed her motivations were driven by promises of being appointed either as the governor of Kogi State or as the Minister of Petroleum Resources.

In her one hour and eight-minute broadcast, Duru claimed that Natasha disclosed a plot by her sponsors to pressure Akpabio into resigning, thereby weakening President Bola Tinubu’s hold on power and affecting his chances of re-election.

She further alleged that Natasha and her allies had financially induced former Minister of Education, Dr. Oby Ezekwesili, to disrupt a Senate Ethics Committee session, preventing Natasha from being compelled to present evidence regarding her harassment claims.

Duru stated that Natasha later admitted the sexual harassment accusation was fabricated, and she expressed frustration that both Ezekwesili and another ally, Dr. Abiola, failed to support her during the Senate hearing.

Duru also revealed that Natasha instructed her to petition foreign agencies and accuse Akpabio of involvement in organ trafficking, including a claim that he was behind the murder of a young woman named Umoren, whose kidney was allegedly removed for his wife’s benefit.

The activist said she was asked to write to specific agencies in the UK parliament and that Natasha had sent her relevant details before trying to delete them, unaware they had already been saved.

Duru explained that she rejected the offer and subsequently faced threats from Natasha.

While she refrained from disclosing the full extent of Natasha’s remarks about her husband, Emmanuel Uduaghan, Duru did mention that Natasha accused him of poisoning her and allegedly vowed to retaliate in kind.
