Chelsea Football Club is actively pursuing Nigerian player Tosin Adarabioyo, who is poised to become a free agent upon the expiration of his contract with Fulham in June.
According to reports, Chelsea has tabled a contract offer for the 26-year-old defender, aiming to outbid Newcastle United, who are also in discussions with Adarabioyo.
Despite nearing the appointment of Enzo Maresca as their next manager, Chelsea remains resolute in bolstering their squad ahead of the forthcoming season.
The club’s transfer ambitions extend to acquiring a striker, a centre-back, a left-back, and potentially a goalkeeper during the summer transfer window.
Adarabioyo, a product of the Manchester City academy, has attracted interest from various clubs, including Manchester United.
However, Chelsea’s offer holds significant sway, especially given the departure of Thiago Silva and the anticipated sale of Trevoh Chalobah. Chelsea values Adarabioyo at approximately £25 million as they seek to fortify their defensive lineup.
