A popular X user, Dele Olawanle has given tips of things Nigerians in Diaspora should not do with their bank account.
As sighted by Allnaijadiaspora.com, Dele posted: “One of the things you should not do in the UK is to give your bank accounts to a friend you don’t know very well so that you can receive money on his behalf.
“He asks for your bank account to collect money from someone you don’t know.
“He asks you to send the money to his bank account or another person you know or don’t know.
“He asks you to send the money to a foreign account in his name or another person’s name.
“They may be committing fraud. You may go to jail if you are caught or he is caught.
“You may also be deported if you are sentenced to a term of imprisonment for 12 months or more.
“Do not do it even if you are promised a tiny part of the money paid into your bank account.
