PSG set to outpace Man United in Victor Osimhen’s pursuit

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) have reportedly opened negotiations with Napoli for the transfer of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, aiming to outmaneuver Manchester United in the race to sign the forward next summer.

According to multiple sources, including TEAMtalk, PSG’s strong relationship with Napoli could give them the upper hand in the talks.

Despite the ongoing discussions, Osimhen is likely to remain on loan at Turkish side Galatasaray for the rest of the season, where he has already netted 11 goals in the league.

His strained relationship with Napoli, following a failed move to a bigger club last summer, led to the loan move.

The striker, who has a €75 million release clause, continues to attract significant interest from top clubs.

Arsenal, PSG, and Chelsea had all pursued Osimhen during the last transfer window, and Manchester United is also reportedly eyeing him this window.

Napoli, meanwhile, has shown interest in Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho and considered including Osimhen in a possible exchange deal.

PSG, having recently completed a deal for winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia from Napoli, may have a smooth pathway for securing Osimhen, provided both clubs align on terms.

While Osimhen’s next move remains uncertain, PSG is pushing hard to strengthen their attack with the Nigerian star.

However, Manchester United, Arsenal, and Chelsea could still re-enter the race if they are willing to activate the striker’s release clause.
