Nigerianss residing in United Kingdom have come together in a remarkable display of solidarity to support the family of a young man, Olajide Akole who lost his wife.
Jide’s beloved wife died on February 12, 2024, after succumbing to a prolonged illness—a sudden lung problem that deteriorated rapidly and required life support.
Jide’s wife and their two boys had relocated to the UK in December 2022 to support him during his academic pursuits and seek better opportunities for their family.
Deeply moved by the sudden loss, the Nigerian community in UK has united to offer assistance to Jide’s grieving family.
They have so far managed to raise over ÂŁ1,422 through various fundraising initiatives including events and online campaigns spearheaded by a committee led by Tosin Agunbiade. The appeal seeks to raise about ÂŁ7,000
