Nigerian Union in South Africa to swear in new executives

The Nigerian Union in South Africa (NUSA) is set to inaugurate its new presidential and national executives this Saturday.

A statement from the umbrella body for Nigerians in South Africa indicated that the event would be centered around the theme “Uniting Nigerians in South Africa,” which aligns with NUSA’s core mission to foster unity among the Nigerian diaspora.

The union further noted that the event would highlight its commitment to encouraging growth in trade, commerce, and stronger bilateral relationships between Nigerians and South Africans.

Additionally, the event will mark the official launch of The Migrant Magazine, a publication focused on issues affecting Nigerian migrants.

Scheduled to take place in Sandton, Johannesburg, the inauguration is described as a key moment in NUSA’s mission to enhance the sense of community and strengthen ties within the Nigerian migrant population.

Since its establishment in 2008, NUSA has been a non-profit organization committed to advocating for Nigerians in South Africa, operating across all nine provinces. It is dedicated to building a vibrant community that supports its members’ success.

The newly elected leadership is expected to continue NUSA’s mission, which includes offering legal assistance, promoting educational initiatives, and celebrating Nigerian culture in South Africa.
