Nigerian hero honored in Canada as Dabiri-Erewa celebrates Adedosu’s black history month recognition

The Chairman/CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has congratulated Mr. Adebayo Adeniyi Adedosu on his well-deserved recognition at the Black History Month Awards Ceremony in Toronto, Canada.

Adedosu was honored by the Toronto Police Service in collaboration with The British Methodist Episcopal Church for his remarkable heroism and dedicated service to the community.

In a statement issued by NiDCOM’s Head of Media, Public Relations, and Protocols, Abdur-Rahman Balogun, Dabiri-Erewa described the award as a reflection of Adedosu’s commitment to excellence and positive impact.

“Your recognition for ‘Heroism’ and ‘a Job Well Done’ is a moment of pride for Nigerians in the diaspora. It highlights the outstanding contributions our citizens continue to make across the globe,” she stated.

The Black History Month Awards Ceremony took place on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at The British Methodist Episcopal Church in Toronto, where Adedosu was celebrated alongside other distinguished individuals making meaningful contributions to their communities.

Dabiri-Erewa reiterated NiDCOM’s commitment to recognizing and supporting Nigerians excelling worldwide, encouraging more diaspora citizens to uphold the values of hard work, integrity, and service.
