NiDCOM Chairman, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, commends Bashir Agboola’s leadership recognition in New York

The Chairman/CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has congratulated Bashir Agboola on receiving the Crain’s New York Business 2024 Notable Black Leader in Healthcare award.

In a statement issued by NiDCOM’s Head of Media, Public Relations, and Protocols, Abdur-Rahman Balogun, Agboola was praised for his outstanding contributions and for representing Nigeria positively through his professional achievements.

Dabiri-Erewa highlighted that this recognition reflects Agboola’s dedication, excellence, and leadership skills. She encouraged him to continue his exemplary work, expressing hope that this well-deserved honor would propel him to even greater achievements.

Bashir Agboola, who serves as Vice President, Associate Chief Information Officer, and Chief Technology Officer at the Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS), has spearheaded numerous technology initiatives at the hospital. His leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic was especially noteworthy, as he oversaw technological advancements that ensured continuous patient care through rapid infrastructure scaling.

In recognition of his global contributions to healthcare, Agboola was also featured in NiDCOM’s inaugural Compendium titled +600 DIASPORA ICONS in 2020.
