NIDCOM Chair sponsors KNOSK N100-a-day student’s University education

The Chairman/CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has pledged university sponsorship for Ifeoluwa Vera Oladipupo, a pioneer student of KNOSK N100-a-Day School in Abuja.

During her visit to the institution in Kuje, Abuja, Dabiri-Erewa also promised to connect the school with Nigerians abroad, facilitating support and assistance for its development.

With this sponsorship, Oladipupo becomes the first among the 14 pioneer students to secure funding for higher education. She had previously gained recognition for her artistic talent after presenting a portrait of the veteran broadcaster, which she skillfully drew.

After touring the school’s facilities with co-founders Kingsley and Irene Bangwell, Dabiri-Erewa expressed her commitment to leveraging her international network to attract more support for the institution.

Encouraging the students, she urged them to remain focused, diligent, and committed to their studies, assuring them that perseverance and hard work would yield success. She also called on well-meaning Nigerians and philanthropic organizations to support the school, emphasizing the importance of compassion in uplifting underprivileged children.

“We all need to support this school, and we can. Instead of spending millions on parties, we can dedicate a portion to help children who lack opportunities. It takes a village to raise a child,” she said.

She further encouraged the students to remain dedicated, highlighting that determination and effort would be crucial in achieving their life goals.
