Ilori Julius leads delegates to USA to explore best edutech practice

Ilori Julius, the founder of Learners Corner, a leading edtech company dedicated to promoting access to quality education in Nigeria, recently led a delegation from two state governments to the United States to explore best practices in educational technology.

The delegation, headed by Julius, included representatives from the Lagos State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, the Ministry of Innovation and Digital Economy in Ekiti State, and various private sector groups such as Imperial Education Technology, the Nest Innovation Park, and Future Perspectives.

Learners Corner, an edtech firm focused on improving learning outcomes through its web application, teacher development programs, and advisory support to private schools and government ministries, announced that during the visit, the delegates will observe demonstrations of mobile STEM labs in the United States. They will also discuss the establishment of Nigeria’s first Mobile STEM Lab to promote STEM education in secondary schools.

“This collaboration is crucial for strengthening the relationship between the United States and Nigeria, facilitating the exchange of best practices in advancing STEM education, encouraging public-private sector investment in STEM education in Nigeria, and promoting workforce development,” said Julius.

The delegation also met with top elected officials from the state of Maryland, the U.S. Department of State Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, IREX, state education officials, major STEM education funders, and employers such as AstraZeneca.
