Davido conquered London’s O2 Arena once again with his electrifying “Timeless” concert! The sold-out show on January 28th, 2024, was a dazzling display of Afrobeats magic, sending the 20,000 strong crowd into a frenzy.
From the moment Davido emerged amidst pyrotechnics and booming bass, the energy was electric. He ripped through a firestorm of his greatest hits, from classics like “Skelewu” and “Fall” to newer bangers like “Fia” and “Peru.” The O2 pulsed with vibrant lighting and synchronized dance routines, transforming the arena into a euphoric dancefloor.
Davido wasn’t alone in setting the O2 ablaze. He was joined by a string of stellar guest stars, each adding their own unique flavour to the night. Afrobeats sensation Kizz Daniel brought the heat with their joint track “One Ticket,” while the legendary Angélique Kidjo added a touch of soulful class with a duet on “We Are Strong.” Mayorkun also hopped on stage, proving that DMW brotherhood runs deep.
But the true star of the show was Davido himself. His infectious energy, smooth vocals, and undeniable stage presence held the audience captivated throughout the night. He effortlessly transitioned between high-octane bangers and heartfelt ballads, proving why he’s arguably the biggest Afrobeats star on the planet.
The performance is coming few weeks to the 2024 edition of the Grammy Awards where Davido has received three Grammy nominations for the 2024 Grammy Awards. The nominations include Best Global Album for his latest album, “Timeless.” The other two nominations are for Best African Performance for his song “Unavailable” and Best Global Music Performance for his song “Feel.”
