Mrs. Beatrice Ekweremadu, wife of former Deputy Senate President Senator Ike Ekweremadu, has been released from prison in the United Kingdom.
A source, who requested to remain anonymous, confirmed that Beatrice, who had been serving a five-year sentence, returned to Nigeria on Tuesday and is currently in Abuja.
Reports from Enugu indicate that her family home is celebrating her release.
