Awards recognition for Nigerian students in top UK university

The Nigerian Society on Thursday emerged as the runner up in the annual Volun-cheers awards of the Teesside University, UK.

The awards were organised by Volun-tees, the University programme which supports staff, students and recent graduates to engage in volunteering activities both within the local community and on volunteering programmes.

Sharing the news of the award on its X handle, the Teesside University- Nigerian Students Society said the award came with a lot of mixed feelings.

It wrote: *Nigerian Society* emerged as the runner up in the *Volun-Cheers award*, yesterday. It came with a lot of mixed feelings, looking back to those we have lost to death in the University, and the population of Nigerians who won different categories of Award.
