Amazing Pelumi Nubi: The globetrotting Queen conquering the world, one country at a time … It’s London to Lagos by car this time!

Pelumi Nubi is no ordinary travel blogger. This 20-something firecracker is on a mission to be the youngest Black woman to visit every single country in the world – and she’s well on her way to achieving her audacious goal. With 61 stamps in her passport (and counting!), Pelumi has traversed the globe from the sun-drenched beaches of Bali to the ancient temples of Angkor Wat, all while inspiring thousands with her infectious energy and empowering message.

From Shy Girl to Fearless Explorer

Born and raised in London, Pelumi wasn’t always the fearless adventurer she is today. In fact, she describes herself as a “shy girl” who found solace in books and daydreams of faraway lands. But at 18, something shifted. Fuelled by a desire to escape her comfort zone and embrace new cultures, Pelumi booked her first solo trip – to Thailand. And that, as they say, was all she wrote.

Breaking Barriers and Beyond

Pelumi’s journey hasn’t been without its challenges. As a Black woman traveling solo, she’s faced racism, sexism, and even physical danger. But her determination is unwavering. She uses her platform to challenge stereotypes and empower other women, especially women of color, to chase their travel dreams.

Pelumi’s Passport to Success

Pelumi’s not just racking up passport stamps; she’s building a travel empire. Her blog, Comfy Trav, is a treasure trove of travel tips, destination guides, and inspiring stories. She’s also a sought-after speaker, social media influencer, and brand ambassador.

With over 80 countries still to tick off her list, Pelumi shows no signs of slowing down. Her next adventure? She’s keeping it under wraps, but you can bet it will involve pushing boundaries, embracing the unknown, and inspiring millions along the way.

What’s Next for the Queen of Wanderlust?

Pelumi is embarking on a solo road trip from London to Lagos starting on the 30th of January.  Her planned route includes crossing from England to France, then heading to Spain and Morocco. After that, she will travel through the West Sahara Desert, Mauritania, Senegal, The Gambia, Guinea-Bissau, Guinea, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Mali, Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire (Ivory Coast), Ghana, Togo, Benin, and finally reaching Nigeria, with Lagos as her ultimate destination.

Pelumi is no stranger to road journeys; on two occasions, she travelled the entire length of Lagos to Ghana and spent two weeks exploring Namibia.  She has also driven to Lake Como, Italy, from London. Pelumi plans to spend the entire #London2Lagosbyroad journey sleeping in a car since it will let her be more adventurous, save money, and be more spontaneous.

So, who is Pelumi Nubi? She’s not just a traveler; she’s a force of nature. She’s breaking down barriers, redefining travel, and proving that anything is possible if you set your mind to it. Follow her journey and be prepared to be amazed.

Here are some of Pelumi’s travel tips for aspiring globetrotters:

  • Do your research: Before you go, learn about the culture, customs, and laws of the country you’re visiting.
  • Pack light: You don’t need a whole wardrobe for a week-long trip. Stick to the essentials and leave room for souvenirs.
  • Be open-minded: Embrace new experiences and don’t be afraid to step outside your comfort zone.
  • Connect with locals: The best way to learn about a place is from the people who live there.
  • Travel solo: Don’t wait for someone to join you. Solo travel is an amazing way to discover yourself and the world around you.

With her infectious energy, can-do attitude, and unwavering spirit, Pelumi Nubi is an inspiration to us all. So, dust off your passport, book your next adventure, and let Pelumi be your guide to a world of endless possibilities.
