Femi Ogunjumelo, an indigene of Igbotako in Okitipupa Local Government Area of Ondo State, has been recognized as one of the 20 most influential Nigerian lawyers practicing in the United States.
Ogunjumelo, based in Houston, Texas, specializes in personal injury law, handling cases such as catastrophic injuries, workplace and industrial accidents, maritime incidents, motor vehicle collisions, defective products, premises liability, and wrongful death.
The announcement was made in the Special Christmas Edition 2024 of Diaspora Newsline, which ranked Ogunjumelo among the top 20 from a survey of over 100 prominent Nigerian lawyers in the US. The recognition celebrates his remarkable contributions to legal practice in America.

Who is Femi Ogunjumelo?
Ogunjumelo, a proud Yoruba native, began his educational journey in his hometown of Igbotako, Ondo State, before earning his law degree at Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye, Ogun State. He completed his legal training at the Nigerian Law School and practiced for six years as a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
After relocating to the United States, Ogunjumelo pursued further legal education, earning a Master of Laws (LLM) in Energy, Environment, and Natural Resources Law from the University of Houston Law Center. He is licensed to practice in Texas, including its Supreme Court, all state courts, and various federal courts, including the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
Ogunjumelo is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the American Bar Association, and an awardee of the American Institute of Legal Advocates. He has received numerous accolades, including:
