Afrobeat sensation David Adeleke, widely known as Davido, has praised the contributions of Nigerians, asserting that some of the best doctors in the United States are of Nigerian descent.
Speaking during the Afric TV series, Davido highlighted the significant impact of Africans across various fields, both professional and artistic. He celebrated the immense contributions of Africans, particularly in music, and noted that Western filmmakers are increasingly turning to the continent for inspiration.
“The best doctors in America are Nigerians. You can check it out. Even in my record label, Sony Music, Africans bring the best ideas. This shows how far our imagination stretches,” Davido remarked.
He further emphasized the rising global influence of African entertainment, pointing out that major streaming platforms like Netflix and Amazon Prime are now seeking movie ideas from Africa.
“Now, when you check Netflix, you’ll see at least two Nigerian movies in the top 10. Africa is next, trust me. We have everything, but we’re just missing a few things,” he added.
