President Bola Tinubu and prominent business leader Alhaji Aliko Dangote are set to headline the upcoming Nigeria Diaspora Investment Summit, scheduled for November 5-7 in Abuja.
During a pre-event press conference in Abuja, the Chairman/CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, announced that over 2,000 participants are expected at the hybrid event.
Among them, 500 attendees and exhibitors have already shown interest in the annual summit.
“We are honored to confirm that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will be our special guest of honor,” Dabiri-Erewa stated. “His involvement highlights the importance of the Diaspora in the president’s agenda and this event.”
She also confirmed that business mogul Alhaji Aliko Dangote will be the guest speaker on the first day, sharing his vast experience in business operations within Nigeria. On the second day, Mr. John Olajide will deliver the keynote address, providing valuable insights from his own successful ventures.
In addition, the summit will feature notable figures from the entertainment industry, including renowned actor Richard Mofe-Damijo, among others.
This year’s summit will emphasize key sectors essential for driving investment and economic growth in Nigeria, such as Finance, ICT, Fintech, Creative Industries, Sports and Entertainment, Agribusiness, Healthcare, Education, Real Estate, Infrastructure, Manufacturing, and Mining, according to Dabiri-Erewa.
She reassured participants that the event will offer enriching discussions, networking opportunities, and practical strategies to tap into the potential of the Nigerian Diaspora.
Dabiri-Erewa also noted that past summits have successfully attracted significant investment to the country, and this year’s event is expected to deliver even greater returns.
