Reports are surfacing of a clash involving Nigerians living in Malaysia, with several individuals reportedly injured.
Social media influencer Pastor Okezie Atani posted videos on platform X (platform name withheld) allegedly capturing the aftermath of the violence. One video depicts an injured person, said to have been slashed on the back, seeking medical attention at Columbia Hospital in Malaysia.
The cause of the incident remains unclear at the time of writing. In the videos, a narrator speaking in pidgin English describes the scene at the hospital, stating, “This guy, they have shared his back into two. This guy go die here. Dem share his back. We are in Colombia hospital, see what they did to human being. Guy, see! See what our brothers do to their own brother. There are like four people with different injuries. We are in Columbia hospital.”
Pastor Okezie captioned the videos with a plea for viewer discretion and confirmed the incident occurred last Saturday night in Malaysia. He further commented, “When Malaysia decides to ‘ban’ Nigerians from entering their country, we will start shouting ‘Gov’t is bad.'”
The incident has sparked outrage online. Another user on platform X, King of Salem, expressed frustration, stating, “These are the kind of catastrophe some unscrupulous Nigerians create for others, that will cause airlines to treat them like second class citizens of the world.”
