86 More Nigerians evacuated from Turkey, arrive in Nigeria for mandatory quarantine

On the night of July 5, 2020, 86 more evacuees arrived in Nigeria from Turkey at around 11 PM. They were transported by Air Peace airline.

This follows the arrival of 238 Nigerians from Istanbul, Turkey, who landed at approximately 2:30 PM on Sunday, July 5, 2020.

The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM) announced the arrivals on its official Twitter account. According to the Commission, 59 of the evacuees disembarked in Abuja, while 27 continued to the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos.

NiDCOM stated that all evacuees tested negative for COVID-19 prior to boarding and will commence the mandatory 14-day isolation period as mandated by the Federal Government and the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
